"10-10 Club" is considered as a barometer of successful business in franchise industry. The entry of Aritaum as a new member of this club means that it has achieved a distribution network of more than 1 thousand shops including 10 shops with 100 million won of monthly sales revenue, and 100 shops with more than 50 million won of monthly sales revenue nationwide. In order to compensate customers for their loyalty enabled these achievements, Aritaum has decided to re-deploy "Aritaum in U" project as a part of social philanthropic activities to improve quality of community life with better residential environment for women facilities.
Based on collaborations with AmorePacific Welfare Foundation (AWF) and Korea Foundation for Women (KFW), the "Aritaum in U Project" aims to turn current shelters for women who have problems with their self-support (e.g. Sexual Violence Relief Center, shelters for women in dysfunctional families, etc) into more familiar places for easier relaxation of body and mind. As an ideal place to harmonize inner beauty with beautiful appearance, Aritaum becomes another door to access closer to women. For this project, AmorePacific will hold a signing ceremony with KFW on coming June 25, and will give financial supports up to 30 million won to each shelter or similar facility on requests. For more information on application for financial supports, please contact AWF (Director, No Mi-Ra, call 02-709-5632) or KFW (Team Leader, Kim Myeong-Suk, call 02-336-6364) not later than July 13.
Moreover, Aritaum plans to expand "A Beautiful Seed", another project for 1 shop to donate money to 1 child in need. This project originally aimed to give financial donations to children in needs all over the world along with World Vision, an international charitable organization. It started with initial opening of Aritaum and more than 150 Aritaum shops have given financial support to about 150 children in needs.
Aritaum is a native Korean word to mean "a place for beautiful people" and sets its ultimate goals to create "a place" for customers, so that they can get experiences of such "personalized" beauty as "not accessible elsewhere." After the first launching on September 1, 2008, Aritaum has achieved 15% sales growth on average year on year despite economic recession, and has attracted more than 3 million customers as of this May. Not only that, new young customers in their 20's also increased over 6 times more year on year. Aritaum has built up capabilities of salespersons (aka "Ariels") to improve customer services, and has effectively commanded a strategy of CRM activity buildups involving ads, dedicated products and Beauty Point.Mr. Lee Min-Jeon, VP (Marketing Division, AmorePacific) said, “It is expected that cosmetics marketing will be changed in the aspect of gray import and overseas distribution entry under the influence of global economic recession. Nevertheless, Aritaum becomes a cosmetics shop that amplifies its own values even during economic slump from the perspectives of growth potential, profitability, stability and sustainability, so we will try our best to listen to voices of customers nearby them and give much more compensations to them for their loyalty.”
