#Ten-Year In-House Counsel
At Amorepacific, I handle legal affairs, including contract review, subcontracting, research, human resources, serious accidents/industrial safety, and PPA. To reduce and prevent future legal risks, I engage in preemptive discussions with various departments, spending most of my work hours in meetings, contract reviews, and consultations. It’s gratifying to contribute to developing and producing high-quality cosmetics as an in-house counsel at a beauty company!

#Turning Passion into a Profession
My friends call me a ‘cosmetic fanatic’ because I love cosmetics so much. Since my university days, I’ve been a fan of brands like ARITAUM, eSpoir, innisfree, and ETUDE HOUSE. Joining Amorepacific has allowed me to live a life where my passion aligns with my profession. It’s fascinating and enjoyable to be closely involved in various processes, including contracts, from creating to launching my favorite cosmetics. Even now, whenever the company releases new products, I buy and try them, recommending them to my friends.

#Going to Work with My Child
I go to work with my child every day. I start my day by taking my two-year-old daughter to the company’s daycare center located on the second floor. Knowing she is in a great facility with excellent teachers allows me to focus on my work. I particularly appreciate the daycare’s educational philosophy of nurturing children’s imagination by using natural materials like wood and soil as toys. With my second son on the way, I'm excited to show my children what it looks like to have a mom who balances both work and family.

#Never Stop Learning
I never neglect to learn. Last month, I read “Same as Ever: Timeless Lessons on Risk, Opportunity and Living a Good Life” by Morgan Housel, an American economic columnist. It included this sentence: “We cannot predict the future. We can only prepare for it.” To prepare for an unpredictable future, I believe in consistent learning. I study AI, the global economy, and the fourth industrial era at work through learning organizations and book clubs. At home, I squeeze in economic studies through YouTube and books amidst childcare.
