Sulwhasoo Holds Global Event in Shanghai to Mark the Launch of The Ultimate S

A global event was held in Shanghai on September 15 to celebrate the launch of The Ultimate S, a high-end skincare line. The Ultimate S is the culmination of pioneering scientific applications of ginseng in beauty products and a philosophy of beauty developed by Sulwhasoo, a globally established luxury skincare brand that dates back to 1932.

 

The Ultimates S is a new milestone in the field of luxury cosmetics. The Ultimate S has continually evolved since 2006 and is now Sulwhasoo’s top-shelf cosmetic line. Sulwhasoo’s ability to achieve superior-level quality and formulate its own unique philosophy of beauty is a result of both a strong commitment and confidence.

 

To commemorate the new edition of The Ultimate S, two global launch events have been held—first in Seoul and now in Shanghai. These events have shown the world the artistry and heritage inherent in The Ultimate S. The Seoul event, held on September 4, became the talk of the town due to the presence of Sulwhasoo Global Ambassador ROSÉ (of the K-pop girl group BLACKPINK), Oscar-winning actress Youn Yuh-jung and others.

 

Meanwhile, at the Shanghai event, on September 15, the debut of The Ultimate S—the quintessence of advanced beauty science—was heralded by Sulwhasoo Global Ambassador Tilda Swinton, Chinese actor Bai Jingting and others. Notably, general customers also were able to get an inside view of the event through a live streamed conference featuring various retailers including Chinese online shopping platform Tmall, Douyin and Jingdong.

 

The launch event for The Ultimate S was held at Shanghai Expo I-Pavilion, a prominent cultural venue. The space was divided into three zones: Ultimate Art, Ultimate Innovation and The Ultimate S, which together conveyed Sulwhasoo’s philosophy of beauty and ginseng-related science that have helped push the skincare line The Ultimate S to the limits of excellence.

In the Ultimate Art zone, the artistic value of The Ultimate S was expressed through the image of a full moon—a symbol of abundance and rejuvenation. The zone dedicated to Ultimate Innovation provided a visual display of the proprietary technology that has led to the creation of Ginseng Berry SR™, a key component of The Ultimate S.

 

Further, at the conference, The Ultimate S was introduced by the president of Amorepacific, research director, and research and product developer. Sean Kim, the president of Amorepacific, “With The Ultimate S, you will experience skincare that is an art form, bringing the dual advantage of ancient traditional herbal science and technological marvel. Every application is not just a step toward beautiful skin, but a tribute to the dedication of countless artisans and scientists, and a reaffirmation of our commitment to excellence.” Bai Jingting brightened the stage by greeting and introducing himself as Sulwhasoo’s new ambassador. Also, artistic excitement was provided by Tilda Swinton, who recited a poem inspired by the Moon.

 

Through a pioneering spirit dating back to 1932 and an artistic drive fostered by persistence and innovation, Sulwhasoo has built a remarkable legacy of beauty. It hopes to share a new experience of beauty with the world through its new high-end skincare line The Ultimate S.
