AMOREPACIFIC Group Chairman & CEO Suh Kyung-bae was selected as the 2015 Businessman of the Year by the global economic magazine Forbes Asia.
In its interview article, Forbes Asia introduced AMOREPACIFIC and how it recorded USD 4.5 billion in sales and featured growth as high as 21% despite the overall growth rate of the global cosmetics and household item market being a mere 1.6% last year. It drew attention to AMOREPACIFIC's R&D investment as being one of main driving forces behind its success and creation of innovative products such as Cushions. It also noted that AMOREPACIFIC has been able to distinguish itself from its competitors through its own distinct Asian heritage over the course of expanding business worldwide.
Suh emphasized in the interview that the growth of AMOREPACIFIC has been attributable due to its own competitive edge, products and technologies and the company is on track to become the No.1 cosmetics company in the world beyond Asia.
In addition to this, AMOREPACIFIC was ranked 28th among the world's 100 most innovative companies by Forbes in August 2015.
