There are three famous lavender production bases: Provence in southeastern France, Furano on the island of Hokkaido, Japan and Huochengxian, Yili in Xinjiang, China. For people living in China, it's much easier to visit Huochengxian, Yili to enjoy the beautiful views of lavender there, rather than going overseas to Japan or France. Over 95% of the total Chinese lavender production occurs at a single lavender farm situated here in Yili, which looks more like a wide carpet woven with violet flowers. If you get a chance, make sure to visit this farm filled with the wonderful scent of lavender!
