Alain de Botton writes that where we are heavily influences who we can be. And, as he says, the environment has the power to change our life. Amorepacific China (AP China) moved to a new office over January 2017. Would you like to see how members' lives have changed?

 News Square visited the new office of AP China after the ribbon cutting ceremony on March 6 for relocation.

 There were three moves. First, 150 members and 150 members and then 400 members moved into the new office. The last move took 14 hours overnight, not only because of the large numbers of members who had to move, but also because it took place during Chinese New Year holidays and there was building elevator maintenance.

 "This was the first time that such a large number of members moved together. We all tried our best to avoid any confusion while unpacking and locating stuff that the relocation service center had packed."

 Tiffany Mi in charge of relocation said that the move went smoothly thanks to the efforts shown by all members throughout the course of preparation. AP China's new home, HKRI Taikoo Hui, was completed quite recently and it means there was little time between its completion and the relocation of AP China. But, thanks to the full cooperation of each team, everything, including the office interior and furniture installation, was completed on time.

 The keyword for the new office of AP China is "openness." There is no partition nor wall between cubicles in order to support more open and free communication. Since the new office is wider than the old one, it is much easier to interact with other teams. In the old office, it was quite difficult to look for people on different floors, but now that one floor is big enough to hold many members, it has become much easier to find someone and hold a meeting on the same floor. Moreover, there are ample meeting rooms available to avoid rushing to book a meeting room.

 The truth is that the design of the new office of AP China is very similar to that of new HQ in Yongsan, Seoul, which will be completed by the end of this year. AP China invited architect David Chipperfield and Corporate Building Construction Div. in Korea HQ to China and sought their advice for setting up the office.

 AP China is expected to take a great leap forward here at the new office. And we are looking forward to supporting more open interaction among members to help spread Asian Beauty and change the world through building Amorepacific in China.
