We always set new goals and wishes whenever the New Year comes. Late January, 500 members of AMOREPACIFIC China (APC) gathered together at Suzhou to celebrate the New Year 2016. Near the beautiful Tongli (同里) lake, APC members enjoyed a special New Year's event to look back upon the achievements of last year and to look forward to the new goals and directions for 2016.

At the entrance of the event hall, a traditional Chinese lion dance welcomed APC members. The president of APC Charles Kao and Executive President Tony Kim attended the event as guests of honor and drew an eye on the lion mask. Do you know what this means? Eye in Chinese is jing (睛) which sounds similar to gold (金, jin) and drawing a lion's eye signifies drawing in money. It represents great expectation and hope for the growth of AMOREPACIFIC China in 2016.

The event then kicked into high gear, with all members of APC, including Charles Kao, looking back on the past year at how APC has grown. In 2015, APC saw remarkable growth of 56%. "Looking to 2016, we will continue to work hard toward our goal of achieving KRW 1 trillion in sales," said Charles Kao for New Year's goal. "Supporting departments will provide their full support in 2016 so that we can grow together through cooperation between departments," said Tony Kim, who closed out his greeting speech by thanking enabling departments.

The concert at the event was a must-see! APC members who had worked hard the past year to achieve remarkable growth, had the chance to participate in a company-wide talent show. From traditional dance to brilliant group dance, the event saw various performances delight the assembled audience. This concert, which featured members of APC, was greater than any other celebrities' concert. Can you feel the vibe through the pictures?

After the concert, there was arguably the highlight of the entire New Year's event – a prize draw. A roll of drums heightened the tension and the audience held their breath. As a large screen came down, everyone wished that they could become the first lucky winner for New Year. Various prizes and bonuses were given at random with the win rate of up to 50%!
