Most Popular Korean Brand in China, Sulwhasoo

Sulwhasoo was ranked number one in female cosmetics on a survey, named ‘the Most Popular Korean Luxury Goods in China of 2014,’ conducted for two months from July 20 to September 30 by People’s Daily Online, one of the largest media companies in China. Securing the top place in a survey conducted for the first time this year by a media company that represents China, Sulwhasoo has gained recognition once again for its brand power in China. People’s Daily Online is the online platform of People’s Daily, which is one of the 10 most authoritative and most influential newspapers of the world listed by UNESCO. It is a media company with an average of 380 million visitors and maximum 700 million visitors per day. People’s Daily Online wins worldwide recognition for its public confidence, and it runs a Korean page that provides all kinds of information about Korea for the Chinese people, with an average of 300-400 thousand people visiting the website every day.


Sulwhasoo entered China in March 2011 and has opened its stores at department stores located in major cities of China including Shanghai, and now it has secured its place as a high-end beauty brand that represents Korea. Furthermore, Sulwhasoo’s global bestsellers such as First Care Activating Serum or Snowise Whitening Serum have proved their power by winning multiple awards. With the support of female consumers in China, Sulwhasoo has extended its product lines, which had started out as 15, to 47 today in 2014, offering a greater variety of products.
