Today is a truly meaningful day as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of Amorepacific.
Right now, I am standing in the Amorepacific Archive, which connects us to our past.
Our long 75 years of history is our pride that our seniors here have created, and that we have created with our own hands.
It is sad that we cannot celebrate face to face but it is also still meaningful that I am greeting you here at the archive where our great history of challenges and innovations is exhibited in a whole new way that's never done before, thanks to what digital technology allows us to do. Today celebrating our 75th anniversary, we are looking into ourselves as we stand at a point of inflection, the point where our future together starts.
I'd like to extend my deep gratitude to all of the Asian Beauty Creators around the world,
who are fully committed to our shared journey of beauty.
Especially to the stars of today, the 660 members who will be honored for your long years of service. Thanks to your 10, 20 and 30 years of hard work, we, Amorepacific have become what we are today. Again, thank you.
Dear Amorepacific members.
With the unexpected outbreak of COVID-19, so much has changed, so quickly. Changes usually take years or more to happen but this time, these have happened in only months.
As a result of failing to timely respond to the changes of our time and our customers, we are facing huge challenge.
It is time for us to wake up and confront the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and our challenge.
And what we need most is that we all must pitch in together for one community, namely Amorepacific.
I understand that you are all doing whatever you can to overcome difficulties. I know how each of you must feel, how hard you work every day and how anxious you get. That's because I vividly remember how I too was once disappointed and distressed when the company went downhill in the 1990s.
My dear Amorepacific members. The executives and I will step up and face the challenge we are facing right at the moment. The company will work with a stronger, deeper sense of responsibility.
Now that the pandemic is expected to remain for a longer period of time than we thought, the executives and I will focus on keeping you safe and healthy while at the same time, envisioning our way forward and providing the guidance you need, so that no one gets lost on our journey together.
We will provide the opportunities for lifelong learning for you to push beyond your boundaries and grow into a true talented individual so that we can innovate the way we develop products, communicate with customers and sell products in line with digital transformation efforts.
You may feel frightened by uncertainty, not knowing what lies ahead and there may perhaps be bumps along our way but if we keep pushing forward together and encouraging each other instead of sinking into the depth of despair when facing these challenges, we, Amorepacific will once again bloom into our highest potential.
I'd like to ask all Amorepacific members to play your part in rebuilding and strengthening the community.

Looking back to the not-so-distant past, the cosmetics business in Korea was thought to be doomed. However, we took courage and paved our way without faltering. We turned the change that was brought upon us into an opportunity and shared our unique beauty culture with the world.
COVID-19 is a global crisis but we can turn it into new opportunities for our great leap forward. As the world is changing quickly, market and consumption will bounce back. When it happens, good opportunities will come along for company with brand that cultivated deep customer trust.
We are the one and only Amorepacific, the company that can boldly invest into digital transformation, the company capable of retaining customers through continued customer management rather than one-time sales and the company committed to providing safe and high-quality products and services. It is none other than Amorepacific.
At the beginning of this year, we pledged to strengthen our brand competitiveness through development of innovative product, deliver customer experience that meets the demand of our times and accelerate corporate-level digital transformation.
And now, we are gearing up to present the kind of beauty that most closely suits the life after COVID-19 mostly with dermocosmetics, health food and personalized cosmetics through the ongoing study of customers' daily lives.
Now the most important thing we have to do is put customers at the center of everything. Keep in mind that customers should always be our top priority.
Study their needs and look closely into their lives. Our corporate-level customer management across online and offline channels will build into our unique competitive advantage. It is the customers that will give us the solution to overcome the crisis.
