Starting this month, innisfree China has launched its Alipay service across over 130 company-owned stores. Alipay is the leading online payment platform in China, where it is used by more than 300 million people. innisfree is garnering media attention as the first local beauty brand to implement the service.

The number of Alipay mobile application users has increased sharply in China, where young consumers are particularly keen on using the Alipay service to pay for cab fares and when shopping at convenience stores or fast food restaurants. This shows that the service has a high ratio of Alipay mobile application users among women born in the 1980s and 1990s, which are the main customers of innisfree. With this new payment option, innisfree expects to see more customers visit their stores.
