innisfree China recently held the innisfree Green Bicycle Tour event in Nanjing. Pursuing healthy lifestyles in a green environment, innisfree has hosted bicycle tour events in major cities including Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Kunming since last year. On September 24, approximately 100 Chinese customers joined the Green Bicycle Tour in Nanjing, riding ‘Rilakkuma inni Bicycle’, which was designed through the collaboration of innisfree China and the renowned animation brand Rilakkuma, throughout downtown.

On that day, famed Chinese actor, Hou Minghao, visited the event and was welcomed by innisfree Green Bicycle Tour participants and many local fans. Riding bicycles himself, Hou Minghao asked all the participants to enjoy the low-carbon bike tour and also join the effort to make a clean and green city.

Collaboration with Rilakkuma
This year, innisfree China promoted the green tour and showcased new trends, in collaboration with the world-famous animation brand, Rilakkuma. The collaboration was possible because the new and laidback style of Rilakkuma matched the brand philosophy of innisfree, the naturalism-oriented cosmetics brand. Such a unique harmony between a popular animation and environmental awareness campaign was positively accepted by the public.

Bicycles cruised through Nanjing, the city of history
On the crisp autumn day, hundreds of bicycle riders, wearing t-shirts with the image of innisfree Green Bicycle Tour and Rilakkuma, enjoyed bike-riding around Nanjing University and Nanjing Olympic Sports Center. While the Rilakkuma inni Bicycles also attracted Nanjing citizens, the participants promoted innisfree’s green message and created a beautiful sight in the city center.

After completing the bike tour, participants enjoyed exciting games with eco-friendly themes. They pedaled bikes and generated electricity to make cotton candy in the Dynamic Bicycle Power Plant. They also experienced green energy VR (Virtual Reality) bicycles, which allowed them to visualize the beautiful sky and sea of Jeju. 

Expansion of the innisfree store at Deji Plaza, Nanjing
On the day of event, innisfree also presented its newly expanded store at the Deji Plaza of Nanjing to customers. At the store renewal ceremony, innisfree China GM Fillip Cai said “innisfree has committed and contributed to green, environment-friendly business efforts for a long time.” He added that it is the enduring promise of innisfree, the naturalism-oriented cosmetics brand.
The innisfree store at Deji Plaza, with its expanded floor size and increased variety of products, will introduce Korean makeup trends to Nanjing customers and enable them to experience natural skincare.
