PACIFICGLAS, the leading glass cosmetic bottle manufacturer in Korea has grown, together with AMOREPACIFIC, and boosted the value of both companies. Behind its growth is the hard work of its employees. Park Sang-jin, of Production Support Part, Production Team, PACIFICGLAS, brought a selection of treats for employees who had been too busy to meet together. He wanted to cheer them up and give them positive energy. Thanks to him, a grin spread across the face of every employee as they came together for the first time in ages.

PACIFICGLAS is located in Seocheon-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea, which is where the Production Team works. Unfortunately, they do not have much time to get together, talk with each other or to eat meals because of three-shift schedule, loud noise and the high intensity of labor. Park decided that he wanted to bring team members together for once to enjoy some time together.

"The Production Support Part supports the entire process from production through to the delivery of the glass cosmetic bottle. I'm working at the material melting section which is responsible for mixing materials, turning the mixture into molten glass in the furnace, and sending it to the bottle shaping machine. The bottle shaping section then shapes the melted mixture into cosmetic bottles. The intensity of our work is so high that in summer, we have to change sweaty work clothes several times a day. It means that we don't have time to get together and interact with each other."

Given that glass is sensitive to external temperature and breaks easily, the temperature around the shop floor is kept high in order to make good quality products. It is a demanding job, but all members of Production Team at PACIFICGLAS do their part to the fullest.

Employees usually leave work at 3 p.m. after their day duty, but not this day. They huddled together in the staff lounge and, just in time, Park arrived carrying boxes of pizza and fried chicken. Not only the Production Support Part but also members of the Production Part and Business Strategy Team joined to enjoy interacting with their colleagues.

"Because I spend most of my time in the office, I don't get to hang around with members on the shop floor. This time enjoying delicious treats together feels like a big gift."

Seok Jinn-yeo from Business Strategy Team showed her appreciation. Lee Jae-yeon, the head of Production Support Part also smiled at team members. "I didn't know that Park had prepared treats. Thanks to him, we had great time together. And taking this chance, I will bring the team together on a regular basis," he said. Members were all happy, excited, and full of laughter, playing jokes and taking pictures together.

Park joined PACIFICGLAS a little later than others. Aged over 30, he was nervous when he first came to the new office, but thanks to his kind, warm-hearted team members he was able to adapt well. He's always been grateful for that. Such thoughtful consideration and mutual trust keep the team smiling despite the hard work. Though he's always the life of the party, Park felt guilty about not getting close enough with team workers because of the busy schedule. And other team members felt the same. This is why this time together was of great value to everyone.

"We didn't have a chance to feel a sense of belonging because of our busy schedules. And through this time together, we really felt that we're one as a team. I feel like I have not laughed this hard at work in a while. Seeing team members happy makes me happy."

Park Beom-gu , the head of Production Team said with big smile on his face. Team members handed out the treats and looked after others first, not themselves. With employees catching up with each other, the lounge soon became boisterous. Since it was the first get-together in a long time, everyone thanked Park Sang-jin for taking the initiative. They said that all their tiredness had vanished through spending this precious time together.

It is difficult to see what's inside the mind. Love grows and deepens when we show it to each other. Memories of sharing food, having fun and laughing together is precious and the employees of PACIFICGLAS got positive energy through spending time with each other. They all will cherish the memories of this day.
