On an early autumn day when the cool winds had begun to blow, pushing away the summer heat, we visited Osan Beauty Campus in Gyeonggi-do, to meet the SCM Support Team. Kim Kyungtae prepared some refreshments including hamburgers and fried chicken for the SCM Support Team to thank the team members who were fulfilling a variety of duties including general affairs, HR, training, subcontractor management and organizational culture all while taking care of the entire workplace much like a mother takes care of her children. Having an enjoyable time with the tasty refreshments, they all filled the room with their mirth that matched the fresh weather of that day.

In the afternoon filled with the excitement of the new season showing its blue autumn sky, the members of the SCM Support Team gathered in the Creative Room in the Amorepacific Osan Beauty Campus. Kim Kyungtae, who joined the team this January, prepared some refreshments to express his gratitude and respect to the team's members who had helped him get used to the new environment with their careful consideration. When Kim appeared with the refreshments in his hands, the team members received him with a big smile and a round of applause.

"At first, I felt afraid when I was placed in a new team but I was able to get used to the new environment thanks to the warm-hearted consideration of my team colleagues. As they willingly explained with a smile and suggested a solution whenever I came across something unfamiliar, I could get the hang of my job faster than any other. Every word from my team leader who always takes the lead in finding a solution whenever we face a challenge, and from my team colleagues who started their career earlier than I, was an important guide to me as a beginner."

While everybody was enjoying the tasty refreshments, Kim was able to share his sincerity. Once or twice a month, they visit a famous restaurant near their office. When they have a get-together, they focus on conversation, usually preferring non-alcoholic drinks. To those who enjoy cuisines, food is an important communication medium. This is probably why they boast of very good teamwork, and their comforting smiles reflect the atmosphere within the SCM Support Team.

"As I felt bad whenever my team members struggled with a heavy workload, I am grateful that we can have a break today. In charge of our work immersion project entitled "Make Our Workplace Better," Kim has contemplated ways to allow employees to work in a better environment. I think this kind of gathering will help us to enjoy our work," said Kim Hansoo, the team leader, who was looking at his team members with a delighted smile.

One of the important business capabilities required by the SCM Support Team, which is responsible for handling all kinds of work throughout the workplace, is a good communication skill. As the team is responsible for establishing a variety of policies for more efficient operation while taking care of establishments not only in Osan, but also in other regions, a flexible and smart communication ability is an essential element of the team. For this, the SCM Support Team has striven to create a happy workplace with smooth communication by taking the initiative first from within the team.

There were many changes in the composition of the members of the team, especially this year. Nevertheless, all the team members tried hard to narrow the gap between the existing team members and the new ones, thus creating an amicable atmosphere within the team in a short period of time.

"As I had only recently joined the team, I was thinking it would be good to have an opportunity to get closer to my team colleagues. I am so happy that we have this event. I feel that we are getting closer while enjoying food and drinks, and taking photos together," said Choi Hokyoung, who is also a new member of this team. She was getting closer to her colleagues while enjoying the small talk, which she could not normally do during her busy work hours.

"Kim Kyungtae really gives off a lot of energy for his colleagues with his sense of humor. I would like to thank him for preparing this event and giving us a pleasant memory," said Lee Myeongseok. The atmosphere of the event was elevated as Lee complimented Kim with a pleasing smile. As the small refreshment event was ripening, they began to open their minds and enjoy some more frank conversation, which they could not have before.

On that day as the fresh cool weather pushed away the prolonged heat wave and brought the best conditions for sharing refreshments, the smiling and positive members of the SCM Support Team could smile even more brightly as they truly enjoyed the get-together. We hope for a healthier and more beautiful tomorrow for the members of the SCM Support Team, who are all gathering their strengths to make a better workplace.

I felt afraid when I first heard my placement to a new team, but thanks to the heart-warming consideration of my team members, I was able to get used to the new environment faster than any other.
You have been with me all the time, whether in happy or sad moments, and you complimented me when I did a good job, and encouraged me when I made a mistake. I really appreciate it and look up to all of you.
I am very grateful to you for your help both inside and outside the office, but I think I am too shy to directly express my gratitude, which is why I prepared this small event.
I promise I will continue to make efforts to make our workplace brighter and more pleasant with pride in my heart as a member of the SCM Support Team.
