Q. What motivated you to join Amorepacific Group?

A. I wanted to work in a large industry, and I heard from an acquaintance that Amorepacific was recruiting a machine learning engineer. I checked the job posting and applied because the position was what I wanted to do and thought I would do well.

Q. Share with us your first impression of the company on your first day.

A. It was nice to see a father and a child coming to work together, and I remember I was awed at just how amazing the Global Headquarters was. My team members were also very friendly, and I was happy to have chosen to work here at Amorepacific and leaving my previous company. I thought, 'all I need to do is get settled and do well at my job'.

Q. Tell us a bit about your past work experience.

A. I worked on offering API using search and machine learning. I developed a model that finds data from search engine by understanding the meaning of the search word a user enters and that provides individualized service by learning about the user or related elements.

A. Now is just the beginning. Let's enjoy work but remember not to lose sight of health! Fighting!

A. To my team members) Thank you for helping me get settled quickly. I will do my best to contribute to the team to grow further as much as I have settled in the team.

Q. What motivated you to join Amorepacific Group?

A. I had the chance to hear about the journey of Amorepacific at an AWS seminar. There aren't many companies that pursue various technology projects and changes, and I dreamed of a future of joining the company as I admired it for making many investments and bringing new changes in IT despite it not being an IT company. I then had the opportunity to apply for a position at the company, and I am honored to now work as your fellow member and colleague.

Q. Share with us your first impression of the company on your first day.

A. I liked that the company entrance was connected to the subway station and that it was an outdoor park inside the company headquarters, which is a great place to take a quick walk after lunch.

Q. Tell us a bit about your past work experience.

A. I mainly worked on processing data and forming pipeline required in business decision-making and built my career in data organizations of broadcasting, telecommunication, and platform companies.

A. Let's become a person who is always modest and considerate of others.

Q. What motivated you to join Amorepacific Group?

A. The company I used to work at was a commerce company and so, I was naturally interested in Amorepacific, a company in the commerce industry as well as a company sensitive to trend. I saw how despite it being a big company, it consistently pursued change based on up-to-date trend and wanted to be a part of it, which is why I applied when I saw the job posting for experienced applicants.

Q. Share with us your first impression of the company on your first day.

A. To me, it was the first day of work as well as the first time I changed companies, so I was very nervous. But my first day was amazing because of the warm welcome from my friendly team members. Everything is still all new, but I am doing my best to get settled.

Q. Tell us a bit about your past work experience.

A. I handled IT development and operation at a home shopping company. I was on 24-hour standby because it was a company that did TV shopping, but I enjoyed working there getting close with MDs in a trendy and open atmosphere.

A. You did so well changing companies and joining Amorepacific! Let's continue to grow and not forget how you began!

A. I humbly look forward to working with you! I don't bite~ I get completely friendly if you ask me to go for a cup of coffee together. Nice to meet you!

Q. What motivated you to join Amorepacific Group?

A. We live in an information era where there is a flood of information! (smile) I wanted to provide information and experience of more value to users in a society where we communicate and share information via social media and various communities. And I wanted to provide accurate and meaningful AP's cosmetics information to many customers. So, I applied to this position based on my experience in communities and search related work at the previous company I worked at.

Q. Share with us your first impression of the company on your first day.

A. The open office space and quiet yet energetic atmosphere was refreshing. The most notable part were the spaces where people could gather quickly and return to their desks quickly. It seemed that the spaces enabled quick meetings where people gathered to share important agendas and short comments and opinions.

Q. Tell us a bit about your past work experience.

A. I worked on the back-end development of communities in a game platform. I conducted development and maintenance of group and individual community services such as building cafes where users and game developers can communicate or webtoon communities using tag-based search function.

Q. Give yourself a word of encouragement for successfully joining the company!

A. Let's go on a diet to lose the weight I gained working from home. Oh, but the company cafeteria is so good. (I don't need to say more…)

A. I hope you spend days of a healthy mind and body during the times when going outside is not easy due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope we can all enjoy a few hobbies we can do at home.
