 Many of you must be dreaming of changing your style from head to toe for the New Year. Clothes and shoes are important, but it is the bag that really tells the fashion sense of a person. In this column, I'd like to introduce some of the 'it' bags of 2016 in China.

 There were a number of 'it' bags in 2016. From affordable bags to luxury bags costing millions, we saw an inpour of bags. It is not the price that matters, but how it appeals to us! Bag brands in this column are known for their unique striking designs. And what's better is that they cost only up to three hundred thousand won.

 In 2016, a particular bag was made into an Instagram sensation. Even its name is adorable; Love Bag. First, you will notice its lovely design. Love Bag by the Italian fashion brand, Pinko comes in various girlish colors, which became famous with a design similar to the Gucci Dionysus Bag.

 However, the Gucci Dionysus Bag is a vintage-inspired style with glam details whereas Pinko has the spirit of girl. That is how it became popular as the Young Dionysus and appealed to youngsters with its affordable price of around KRW 300,000.

 Moreover, there are two different lines: one colorful line and one sophisticated classic solid-color line.

 Dual Color was also big on Instagram.

 If you are fond of girlish style, I recommend Pinko Love Me Tender. It has such a brilliant combination of girlish colors with an adorable English phrase, right?

 I personally like the color of the bag in the picture below. The latest trend, smoke blue and classic dark green have their own exclusiveness.

 And there is a bag with a lovely floral pattern.

 As you see, each Pinko bag has its own special appeal! I wish I could buy every design, one line each.

 Next is Marc Jacobs Snapshot. This camera bag named Snapshot Small Bag released last year is sweet and petite in size! Plus, it is very much loved by celebrities as well.

 Adorable colors, the cute toy-like square frame and everything. It is a real cutie. The gold plaque on the front is the new logo of Marc Jacobs, which is his signature double J.

 Snapshot Small Bag has a bold color combination, but cute design. That is how it looks very trendy rather than too-much-color.

 Its wide strap is another charming point. The broad bag strap fad was first introduced by FENDI and it is now used for Snapshot Small Bag. The design similar to the guitar strap embodies the artistic spirit.

 It costs about KRW 400,000. Isn't it beautiful? It makes me feel like giving a pose with the bag slung over my shoulder.

 Strathberry is a new kid in the town. Its Strathberry Bag has a beautifully curved edge around a rectangular shaped bag. The eye catcher is the metal bar at the center of the front side. Last year metal details were all the rage. Luxury brands used metal as well in all different forms, for example rings and bars. The chic metal detail accentuates the smooth shape of the bag. What's really tempting is that this simple and yet beautiful design is the work of none other than a designer from Louis Vuitton.

 Strathberry Bag comes in many different sizes. Among all, nano tote strikes the eyes at once. This mini size bag with clean lines is as cute as a button.

 Soft baby blue is just perfect for the summer!

 I highly recommend this elegantly designed small bag available at a reasonable price around KRW 200,000!

 Some of you may not have heard of the brand, Future Glory. But its Rockwell Bag is quite popular. The sophisticated elegant metal ring handle is very trendy and fashion forward. Its simple modern design, small leather, high-quality leather and everything make it a textbook example of minimalism.

 All of the bags are handcrafted in San Francisco, the United States and they are even made to order. The price is also reasonable around KRW 300,000. Its best-seller is the Rockwell Bag with signature ring handle.

 It comes in solid colors and stylish marble pattern as well. This flowery marble pattern makes the bag more special.

 Zara and H&M presented similar designs, but these are not to be on the same level in terms of quality.

 Adorable bottle shaped bag of the brand, Simon Miller! Launched as men's wear brand in New York in 2008, Simon Miller presented its first handbag line, Bonsai Bucket Bag last year. And its adorable design created a sensation.

 The large ring handle and cylindrical silhouette are simple yet stylish.

 The clean-lined exquisite design earned much kudos and in addition, it adds a modern feel to the look.

 Bonsai Bucket Bag also has a cute pet name, Flower Pot Bag.

 How about getting yourself a little flower pot for romantic and modern appeal?

 Cuyana is a trendy brand seeking minimalism. It features a chic logoless front with a smooth curved edge and solid colors. In addition, it has its signature small metal bar on the front. Brown and wine especially lend elegance for a classic timeless look.

 It also comes in fresh bright colors reminiscent of macaroons, including crystal pink, baby blue and blue green.

 And the good news is that Cuyana offers the mini version of the Saddle Bag as well in addition to the classic size.

 The mini size is priced at KRW 300,000, whereas the classic size is available at KRW 400,000. That's quite reasonable.

 Here is another saddle bag. It is made by Meli Melo, one of my current interests. I first learned about this brand through the classic line of Medium Halo Bag. With premium quality leather and a neat, yet edgy design, it is work appropriate. What I did not expect from the brand is such a remarkable saddle bag.

 It is more bold and artistic than Cuyana Saddle Bag thanks to the smoothly embossed calf leather.

 It is soft and also sturdy. Sling this bag over your shoulder on a sunny casual day. It will add a great vibe to your look.

 I especially love the selection of earthy colors. Among all, go-with-everything brown has a bohemian aesthetic.

 Crystal pink, on the other hands, is rather girlish.

 And there is nothing better than vivid peach for a neutral, monochrome winter coat.

 The price is also good. If you search hard enough, you will be able to get it at around KRW 300,000.

 Francesco Rogani is an Italian brand making high quality Hermes Kelly style bags, loved by few but very loyal fans. It is also of great rarity – only one store in Rome, Italy.

 Italian handcrafted leather goods are known for their exquisiteness. And this brand takes more pride in itself than most of Italian brands do because of its high value for money. The price range starts from KRW 400,000 and even the big bag costs only KRW 500,000. Moreover, the exceptional design and exquisite handcraft work are certainly worth what you would pay for. This brand is perhaps strange to most Italians but very famous with Chinese people.

 The most famous one is Kelly Bag and the medium size outsells the two other sizes.

 But the mini size is also popular.

 British? Vintage style? If you know nothing else but only Cambridge satchel style, it's time to look around. The brand Beara Beara is a brand of very British style bags that you must not miss! Every bag has a great classical style mixed with modern clean lines, handcrafted in London, England. Good for both men and women, the brand gave me a very strong impression.

 I love every bag of this brand, but here I will introduce two lines. The first one is a bottle shaped bag mentioned earlier.

 The vintage style bottle shaped design with antique metal lock and perfectly refined calf leather. I don't think I will ever be able to take my eyes off any woman carrying this bag.

 Another is the backpack. The square frame and simple lines make it more of a trendy modern take on the old-school bag.

 It is good for work and travel as well. It is very useful for carrying a lot of stuff and moreover, it is very stylish. And there is another genuine British style design. I am sure that this bag will make you look better in every picture while you travel.

 Beara Beara is very famous in London and it is fully lined: satchels, backpacks and handbags of all styles including messenger bags.

 Not to mention, their bags are good for men as well.

 If you love vintage British style, it is something that you must have.

 Coccinelle is an Italian brand, sharing many similarities with the brand, Furla. Personally, I am a huge fan of Coccinelle and I already have three of their bags. It is however not as famous as Furla in China (because designs available in China are not good enough). But to be frank with you, it outplays Furla in terms of quality and design and even stands comparison with Michael Kors. And with a number of great bags full of its ambitions released from the year before last, it became the hottest brand on the Internet. The exquisite horseshoe shaped buckle and trendy broad strap are the perfect details for the perfect bag. Real red in suede is especially beautiful.

 Suede brown bag is chic!

 And gray is always stylish and goes well with almost every style.

 The floral pattern in snake skin is great but needs a somewhat bold decision.
