This year, News Square brings you the lowdown on the many brands of AMOREPACIFIC Group and the work they are doing to spread beauty across many different beauty fields.

This, the third article in the series, takes a look at 'Ryo.'

Ryo blooms through Korean herbal medicine expertise
and technological prowess of AMOREPACIFIC

Ryo is the first Korean herbal medicine-based shampoo brand of AMOREPACIFIC launched in 2008 with the principle to keep the scalp in good, well-balanced condition through control and harmony of yin (negative) and yang (positive) energy. Regarded as the fruit of long-term research on Korean herbal medicine and hair loss of our R&D Center, Ryo is born to revive the origin of Korean beauty and bring out the healthy beauty of women with luxuriant hair. In the 2000s, more and more people both in old and young age groups experienced hair loss and the concept of the shampoo changed from a product for the whole family to a personal-care product to use depending on the scalp and hair conditions of specific individuals. Additionally, Ryo of AMOREPACIFIC captured such a trend and introduced a range of products specific to hair concerns, for example, hair loss, hair damage, dandruff and itchy scalp.

Plus, it is a long-lasting waterproof product that adds a rather natural color to a thin-haired forehead and crown of the head and keeps hair looking luxuriant even when sweating. Furthermore, being a product made by the oriental medicine-based shampoo brand, it is formulated with herbal ingredients including biota seed, camellia, green tea, ginseng, cnidium, plum and bean extracts to foster a healthy scalp and hair.
