AMOREPACIFIC ranked 12th in the 2016 WWD Beauty Top 100

On April 29, the 2015 WWD Beauty Top 100 was announced by WWD, an American fashion and beauty journal. AMOREPACIFIC was ranked 12th in the list by WWD, two levels up from last year.

WWD highlighted the exceptional growth of AMOREPACIFIC in Korean and global markets along with the K-beauty craze. It said that despite the decreased number of tourists due to MERS in Korea last year, AMOREPACIFIC maintained solid growth in sales and duty free business activity. WWD also said that the expansion of AMOREPACIFIC's five Champion Brands (Sulwhasoo, LANEIGE, Mamonde, innisfree and ETUDE HOUSE) in the Asian market, increased sales in the Chinese market and AMOREPACIFIC's enhanced portfolio of the North American market were the key drivers to the growth.

Meanwhile, WWD reported that M&A activity between beauty companies including Coty and P&G and the declining growth of the Latin American, Russian and Chinese markets had a strong impact on the 2015 beauty industry. As such, AMOREPACIFIC is marching towards the upper echelons of the global beauty industry with every passing year.
