As the main person in charge of new employee onboarding¹⁾ training in the Human Resources Development Team, I spend much time with those newly joined Amorepacific. During the training period, whenever we work on projects covering various topics, I find myself growing alongside them as we share the distinctive energy that new employees bring. Since joining as new members of Amorepacific, they’re full of enthusiasm for work and have tremendous curiosity about our rapidly changing world, which has also become a positive stimulus for me.

That’s why I’ve chosen #Rising Star as my real hashtag! I’ll explain the reason in detail through the hashtags that represent me. First, the #Welcome Letter symbolizes me, Seonghee Choi, devoted to helping new employees grow. The second keyword is #Luggage. For me, travel has a meaning beyond simple leisure. When I pack my luggage to meet new employees at L&D Center, my heart flutters as if I embark on a new journey. And I can’t leave out #Books, which serve as a compass providing countless inspirations. The fourth item is #Tea! In particular, the various teas from OSULLOC give me a sense of pride as a member of Amorepacific. Starting my day with a cup of tea every morning is my way of beginning a pleasant day. The last keyword is #Skincare, a gift for myself. I take time for healing by caring for myself with cosmetics that match my mood each day!

Growing Together with New Employees #Welcome Letter

I live and breathe the new employee mindset. I’m constantly putting myself in newcomers’ shoes, considering what they’re curious about and need from the company. This perspective has shaped how I design and run our onboarding programs—creating meaningful learning experiences that help new hires adapt seamlessly to our organization from day one.

The first training after joining is a special time for the company and new employees. After contemplating how to convey our welcome to those working with us, the Human Resources Development Team introduced the #Welcome Letter. The front features Amorepacific’s character, “Dolpoong,” embodying our sincere appreciation for every person joining Amorepacific. It contains the greeting “Congratulations on joining Amorepacific’s journey” along with welcome messages written personally by each team’s leaders. Since these messages are directly delivered by the teams they’re joining, the impact of the gesture is even more significant for each individual.

Additionally, members receiving onboarding training complete assignments on various topics related to Amorepacific during their training period. While I participate as an evaluator during this period, I’m also growing whenever we gather ideas, share new perspectives, and discuss, experiencing their energy and passion together.

Dreams Packed Inside #Luggage

My time as an exchange student in Sweden transformed my perspective on travel. While studying organizational management there, I experienced firsthand the East-West cultural divide, elevating travel from mere leisure to something more meaningful. Travel became my gateway to new environments, diverse cultures, and people. In my role, I regularly visit our L&D Center in Yongin for training sessions and workshops. Each visit feels like embarking on a new journey, with my #Luggage being my constant companion. When I pack and head to the Center, where we receive various training as Amorepacific members, I feel a flutter of excitement at the prospect of encountering their dreams and potential.

Vibes of Inspiration #Books

#Books have always inspired me. Whenever time permits, I explore book cafés and attend book talks throughout Seoul. The timeless insights I gain enrich both my professional and personal life. I find particular joy in discovering ideas applicable to my work and wisdom for various situations. While working on a project to revamp our corporate book learning system, I had meaningful conversations with bookstore owners and brainstormed implementation strategies with colleagues at book cafés. This explains why the book lounge at our L&D Center is my favorite company space. The moments I spend there immersed in books and reflection are among my most creative times.

The Moment Sincerity Reaches #Tea

A morning cup of #tea centers me and sets a calm tone for my day. I carefully select my tea to complement my mood—for today’s interview, I chose OSULLOC’s refreshing Samdayeon Jeju Tangerine Tea. The aromatic profiles of Milky Oolong Tea and Tropical Black Tea are also among my favorites. I deeply admire our company’s unwavering commitment to “diverse beauty” throughout its history. A Gift for Myself #Skincare

My personal pursuit is a balanced life. Though I spend most of my time at the company, I carve out moments exclusively for myself after hours. I recharge through exercise and journaling or clear my mind during walks and reading sessions. Of all these practices, my #Skincare routine is the cornerstone of my daily self-care. I select products that reflect my mood and condition, treating myself after each demanding workday. The ritual of carefully applying essential products and finishing with a mask pack while briefly resting feels like a personal gift. This simple practice has become my most meaningful time for restoration.
