In addition, it used natural gradation to create that tidy complexion. If you want to try wearing a minimal makeup look, pick up your favorite lipstick and apply a different amount on different parts of your face. Keep in mind that if you properly mix the lipstick and the foundation before applying it on the face, it is much easier to blend the colors!

The winged eyeline makeup trend began as the so-called cat eye makeup, and the line has become even longer and bigger over the last few seasons. The wing liner that was used more often on runways, appears on not just urban, ready-to-wear collections, but also on haute couture runways as a sophisticated look expressed with geometric and elegant curves. The winged eyelines require delicate makeup techniques to achieve that chic, elegant look.

The most common mistake that people make when drawing long lines is raising the tail of the line too much. You can draw a perfect winged eyeline that looks natural by extending your eyeline using a slightly curvy line close to a horizontal line with your eyes closed without pulling up the end of the line too much.

The smokey eye makeup look that stood out conspicuously in the street style this season was the rimmed eye pattern that made the eye look deeper, as if you had drawn a line around the eyes with a kohl pencil. This is not a makeup look often observed in Korea, but it has been steadily used as a casual everyday look in the West.

A common way to create this look is to draw a thick line around the eyes on top and below your eyes with a black, non-waterproof eyeliner and smudge the line lightly using the tip of your fingers or a makeup brush. To make it last all day, you can put on a black or gray eye shadow, which helps add depth and an elegant gradation effect. You still need to make your face, cheeks and lips look pale to stress the alluring look.

Looking back at the 90’s fashion and beauty trend, it was a time when women emphasized their glamour. Instead of a feminine style, ladies wore a power suit or outfits that showed off their fascinating silhouette. Likewise, chic hairdos with clear edge styling and glamorous, bold makeup were popular at the time. That 90’s look is clearly demonstrated in both fashion shows and on the streets, and the most eye catching detail was on the eyes.

This is, in fact, something that we didn’t expect to return because the tinted lip or ombre lip, which creates a gradation effect from inside the lip, is dominating today’s lip makeup trend.

As we already introduced in the S/S 2022 Beauty Trend column, silver is one of the trendy colors often used in the Y2K retro style and blends in with a metallic outfit. The color was also found in many street fashions. It is a leading color that gives that cool look in summer, and it also acts as an elegant pearl color or as a highlighter depending on the lights, making it a great choice as an accent.

In the street fashion this season, we observed people wearing metallic accessories that complete the similar look or people who put on outers of the same color to complement the fashion with similar makeup styles. Silver makeup can achieve a strikingly different look depending on which pigment you use. Rough or opaque pigments can create a kitsch look, while soft, fine pigments can produce an elegant look. If you want to highlight your eyes, thinly cover your eyelids with the silver shadow and if you want to make your eyes look bigger and deeper, we recommend applying the shadows on the front corners of your eye near the nose.
