innisfree, a brand synonymous with naturalism-oriented cosmetics as part of a green lifestyle, followed up its successful hosting last year of the Green Bicycle Tour in Beijing and Shenzhen, China by holding a bigger event this year for more people searching for a low carbon lifestyle. On March 9, this year's first Green Bicycle Tour took place in Chengdu, a city blessed with natural resources. At the event, Chinese actor Song Wei Long was on hand to support innisfree’s initiative to make cities greener and encourage everyone to ride a bicycle as part of the low carbon lifestyle movement. 

Green Bicycle Tour is leading the switch to green lifestyles across the country

Chengdu, the host city of this year's first Green Bicycle Tour, is famous for having the largest number of bicycle lovers in China, which made it a natural choice. For the new interactive-style green event, innisfree invited innisfree customers and conservationists to this city, with 100 participants each being given a T-shirt to wear with the slogan “Green Bicycle Tour” emblazoned on. The cyclists wheeled together around the sights of Chengdu on innisfree's eco-friendly designed bicycle in the fresh spring air. Lively young women on bicycles attracted the gaze of people and the youthful vibrant energy of participants added life to the whole city.

innisfree prepared various interactive experience zones and provided interesting events to help people better understand the importance of environmental protection and active participation in ongoing conservation efforts.

Construction of a green zone through green movement

We hope that everyone lives green at home and at work in an effort to make the world a greener place,” said innisfree General Manager Fillip Cai at the presentation.

The event came to a climax when Song Wei Long, actor and honorary ambassador for 2016 Chengdu Green Bicycle Tour, stepped onto the stage. This hottest celebrity said that he lives green every day – he separates the trash, carries around his own tumbler and handkerchief, and goes to school by bicycle, as he knows that little daily habits can make all the difference. He also said that he's long been a fan of innisfree and that he’s honored to be an honorary ambassador for the 2016 Chengdu Green Bicycle Tour. He hopes more and more people can take part in making the city clean and green.
