L&D Division, Amorepacific China


Amorepacific Group L&D Center recently introduced a standard of conduct for AP members as part of the "Code of Conduct: AP Minds 10 to G1." This reflects Amorepacific's long standing commitment to communicating and fostering a set of shared philosophies and corporate values that all employees should bear in mind, with a training curriculum set accordingly. As part of this commitment, Amorepacific China (APC) established an L&D Division to strengthen human resource management, which is critical to supporting local growth. APC's L&D Division, the only learning development center outside Korea, spreads its corporate culture and values in a localized way, providing training programs for talent and development to ultimately nurture Great People.


The L&D Division consists of 3 teams – Talent Development Team, Corporate Culture Team, and Beauty Planning Team – which together provide a further 160 teams and 900 employees with the best training programs. The Talent Development Team is responsible for training new team leaders and new employees to help them get accustomed to their new roles and teams and effectively collaborate with other members of the company. It also runs online general employee training programs. The Corporate Culture Team, meanwhile, focuses on establishing and spreading corporate culture. It manages programs designed to enhance the power of human resources, including executive and leadership development. The Beauty Planning Team leads training for BAs to help foster standardized performance. It also manages APBU (Amorepacific Beauty University) and online training program for BAs.
Top of APC L&D Division's to-do list is "Package M." The localized version of "My WAY Workshop" in Korea, Package M is designed to convey corporate values to executives and staff alike. The division applies the principles of Package M to various training programs so that all of the AP members, from office staff to field BAs, can learn and better understand "Our Values."

Earlier this year, APC L&D Division introduced a self-learning system that allowed employees to select and take a personalized training curriculum. The system has been widely welcomed by the employees, who are now much more engaged in training activities.

Executive training is also breaking new ground. Executives gathered in the "Leader Forum" to discuss recent trends in digital marketing and define the key tasks for developing the best marketing model for APC.

The division strives to turn BAs into beauty professionals with excellent customer-facing skills, as developed through the store manager and K-Service training pathways. Such training cannot be completed without close connection with brand marketing organizations, hence why the L&D Division continually confirms the training needs of each brand before planning the curriculum for BAs. Not only that, but BAs receive corporate news through ACA (Amorepacific China Academy), the training app especially for BAs. The company's commitment to training and professional development enhances BAs' engagement and loyalty as members of AP.

Communicating actively with Amorepacific Group L&D Center and local brand marketing organizations, Amorepacific China L&D Division carries out its role of cultivating corporate culture and managing training programs brilliantly. We hope that APC China L&D Division can recruit and nurture the best talents in China who can thrive in the global business era.
