43 years ago, I began working as a door-to-door sales counselor in 1975. At that time, not even once did it cross my mind that after such a long time would I still be working at this job. I thought simply that it would be a reasonable job to do for a mother of two children. However, as the customers were satisfied with my counseling, plus with encouragement from my family and co-workers, I felt the ability to keep moving forward. In fact, the harder and longer I have worked, so too have passion and endurance grown within me.

 I still recall quite vividly the first product I sold to my customers. I was ecstatic when I handed over a Miro Toner & Lotion set to a customer for the first time. I was able to work passionately then, and still now, as I have always had the support of Amorepacific and customers who have believed in me.

 Every day, I make sure to maintain a regular routine beginning at 6am and continuing through to midnight. It is the endurance, regular exercise and my habit of writing notes that have made me who I am today. For my customers, I keep notes on each of their preferences, skin type, items they have bought and even their birthdays or other special days they have after meeting them. To personalize the service I provide even further, I make sure that I hand out samples of different products to my customers, to let them experience a wider variety of what is on offer.

 I believe it is the fact that I have kept such meticulous records of my customers that has helped me to keep many regulars for nearly 40 years since I first began working as a counselor. I even have one regular lady who is in her 30s who is actually the granddaughter of another of my regular customers who is in her 80s!

 As I have over four decades of work with Amorepacific, I have amassed an extensive collection of materials associated with the company. Some of these I have even donated to the company and can now be seen on exhibition at Amorepacific Archive.

 At Amorepacific Archive, there are 50 issues of Hyangjang I have collected every month since 1975, an empty bottle of Sammi Skincare, old counselor training materials and even my uniform all beautifully exhibited in display cases. I was able to visit the archive in Osan, Gyeonggi Province a few weeks ago and see all my donations. It was a rewarding and heart-warming experience to see my donations on display and take a trip down memory lane.

 I am very proud of myself for having worked so long as a counselor for the top beauty company in Korea with its rich history, which I am still helping to make together. I think that being a counselor is a great job that is open to everyone. It gives both satisfaction and pride as you can work to your full potential regardless of age. At times, people ask me that if I were born again in another lifetime, would I work as a counselor again. To that, my response is always a strong "yes!" without even a moment's thought.

 As always, I am highly appreciative of our office manager and counseling instructors that have helped me keep going throughout my career. I'm also equally grateful for the trust given to me by my customers. It is my aspiration to continue working for the company as an Amore Counselor for as long my health allows. So, the continued support from the company for a capable counselor with many years of dedicated service would of course also be greatly appreciated. Lastly, I'd love to give a loving welcome message of support to all newly joined counselors and to extend this message to our senior counselors who may currently be facing any temporary setbacks.
