Amorepacific's ginseng research was not about simply applying ginseng extract in its products, but a journey of continuously studying and contemplating on what components of ginseng are good, the benefits, and how to improve their efficacy.

Amorepacific began to study ginseng in earnest in the 1960s. Ginseng research, inspired by the wisdom and insight of founder Suh Sung-whan who thought 'if ginseng is good for the body, wouldn't it have benefits for the skin as well?', further advanced to bioconversion technology Ginsenomics. As the technology further developed, ABC Ginseng Cream, which was the world's first ginseng cosmetics launched in1966, blossomed into the global premium brand Sulwhasoo. 

Our research on ginseng did not stop at cosmetics. Starting with Ginginton, a ginseng drink that applied ginseng concentration technology in 1972, the outcomes of our sincere research were reflected in products of inner beauty as well. Cheonsamhwa and Ginseng Berry Standardization Technology, which we continued to further advance, are delivered to our customers through VITAL BEAUTIE products today.

Amorepacific continued making efforts to apply active ingredients of ginseng and technology to hair products as well. In 1982, it launched Lido Panax shampoo, which contained ginseng ingredients. Today, ginseng is still the most precious ingredient in Ryo products used with technologies such as GinsenEX. 

Our ginseng research, which continued for more than 50 years, has become our heritage. Our research achievements in all areas of ginseng from roots, flower, seeds, leaves and stem have been reflected in various products across cosmetics, inner beauty, and daily beauty categories, and continues to further advance today. The result of our ginseng research is the essence of Asian Beauty and our shining fruit. Amorepacific's interest and love towards botanical ingredients, especially ginseng, is spreading across the world and reaching our customers.
