Edition No. 12. Beauty is a Gift that Changes the World.


Amorepacific is a company that grew by serving women. Women were always at the core of customers who use cosmetics and those who sell the products. That is why Amorepacific has always supported and encouraged the lives and dreams of women. The company introduced a door-to-door sales system in 1964, creating jobs for breadwinning women responsible for their family's livelihood and provided opportunities to women who struggled finding jobs despite their potential and ability so that they were economically empowered to support them overcome difficult times.

As the company grew, it began to contemplate deeper about the health and happiness of women in a more structured manner. Amorepacific carries out various CSR activities centered around three major initiatives for women, the environment, and culture to bring beautiful change in the world believing that it is our mission to beautify women's lives through beauty that only Amorepacific can create, under its vision 'A MORE Beautiful World'.


Amorepacific, which established Korea's first-ever non-profit public foundation for breast health called the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation in 2000 by investing the entire foundation fund, began 'Pink Ribbon' campaign in the following year of 2001. It made great efforts in creating a culture for all generations to take care of their health and pay attention to their bodies through programs that engaged the public and by raising awareness around breast cancer and the importance of early detection. 'Pink Run' is a running festival that encourages the participation of the public. And the entire proceeds from participation fees are donated to the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation to be used to support surgeries and treatments of breast cancer patients of low-income families. Amorepacific plans to continue the running festival in both online and offline formats by hosting 'Pink Run Plus', an 'untact' running program since the spread of COVID-19.


'Makeup your Life' is an education campaign that transfers the knowhows to cancer patients going through sudden changes in appearance due to chemotherapy so that they can make themselves beautiful. The campaign, which first began in 2008, has significant meaning in that it is not a program that simply teaches makeup tips but that it helps cancer patients have a more positive outlook on inner beauty and toward life and overcome distress and depression during their fight against the disease. Since 2011, the campaign expanded to Amorepacific China under a new local name. We continue our effort to contribute to society and customers worldwide beyond Asia through our offices in Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.


'Hope Store' is a startup support program that helps single mothers achieve financial self-reliance. It began in June 2003 using the 'Jangwon Suh Sung-whan Beautiful World Fund' donated to The Beautiful Foundation following the wishes of Amorepacific founder Suh Sung-whan. The program provides loans to help single mothers achieve financial self-reliance by starting a business and their repayments and interests become 'seed money of hope' for other single breadwinning mothers. This provides opportunities to other single mothers who are preparing to build a business, creating a virtuous circle of sharing. Since the first-ever Hope Store opened in 2004, a total of 402 Hope Stores opened by 2019 with the No. 100 store opening in 2011 and the No. 200 in 2013.
