Amorepacific Group Celebrates its 79th Anniversary

 

Amorepacific Group marked its 79th anniversary with a ceremony attended by employees worldwide at its headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul. At the event, Amorepacific Group Chairman Suh Kyung-bae highlighted the company will "continue its entrepreneurial spirit in the changing times, thus contributing to humanity through beauty and health."

In the online and offline ceremonies to commemorate the anniversary, Amorepacifc teams from around the world exchanged messages of support and encouragement, reaffirming the company's founding principles and commitment to change the world through beauty. Additionally, 398 employees celebrating their 10, 20, and 30-year tenures at the company were recognized with awards.

In his anniversary address, Suh underscored that being customer-focused has led to growth in Amorepacific's 79-year history. He shared that moving forward, the company will ▲ nurture strong brands that meet the needs of today's customers, ▲concentrate on market expansion through global rebalancing, and ▲ prepare for the future by transforming the company's organizational structure and innovating its operations to align with the evolving environment.

"To ensure sustainable growth, we have improved our business structure recently. As a result, the company is now at a critical inflection point for a new leap forward, during which we will maintain our customer-centric focus," said Suh.

Founded on September 5, 1945, Amorepacific Group has continuously advanced the Korean beauty industry and the global K-beauty movement under its founding principle of contributing to humanity through beauty and health. Significant milestones in this journey include the establishment of Korea's first cosmetics research institute in 1954, the launch of the beauty magazine 'Hwajanggye' in 1958, the opening of beauty consultation centers in 1961, and the declaration of 'infinite responsibility' for service quality in 1993.

Today, the company is committed to achieving its 'New Beauty' vision, which focuses on discovering beauty that aligns with the new era's customers, underpinned by the core pillars of 'Life,' 'Digital,' and 'Empathy.' Amorepacific is also dedicated to fulfilling its '2030 A MORE Beautiful Promise,' a set of five commitments to sustainable management, as part of its ongoing efforts to challenge itself for the benefit of customers and humanity.
