The Premium Makeup Team of AMOREPACIFIC Korea HQ invited 21 global makeup artists from LANEIGE to Korea for a week from August 10 for an intensive K-beauty training program titled “2015 Makeup Artist in Seoul.”

This program was held in AMOREPACIFIC L&D Center as a pilot project ahead of the introduction of the 2016 LANEIGE Global Makeup Artist Level System. Makeup artists from 7 countries, including China, Taiwan and Singapore, took part in lectures like Core Skills for 2015 K-Beauty Makeup and Guidelines on Behavior of Makeup Artist, which were all designed to enhance their capabilities as makeup artists. Highlights included the chance to do a K-beauty themed photo shoot and make their own makeup portfolio with the help of hair stylists, photographers and professional beauty models at the forefront of K-beauty trend. Plus, there was a K-pop Makeup Lecture led by a makeup artist responsible for the makeup look of hit Korean girl group Girls’ Generation.

Moreover, makeup artists visited Story Garden and experienced the story of innovation unique to AMOREPACIFIC with their all five senses. They got a feel for current K-beauty trends through market research in Myeong-dong. 2015 Makeup Artist in Seoul ended with awards given to outstanding portfolios and a certificate ceremony for LANEIGE global makeup artists. Participants said that they were thrilled to do a special photo shoot and make their own portfolio, two elements that they had never previously experienced in the training programs they had done before. They also said that they would bring K-beauty to more and more customers on behalf of the K-beauty leader, LANEIGE.

Meanwhile, the Premium Makeup Team of AMOREPACIFIC Korea HQ plans to hold Makeup Artist in Seoul each year to help LANEIGE makeup artists fulfill their role as global ambassadors promoting K-beauty around the world.
