The spotlight of this season's fitted jackets were the peaked and rather wide lapels. Many were designed in a different color or material from the main garment, and as can be seen in the Jil Sander collection, leather or satin lapels seem to add that extra edge to the overall look.
VTMNTS, a Vetement label, showcased wide yet withdrawn shoulder lines with exaggeratedly raised shoulder pads. The Rick Owens collection likewise featured a wide shoulder line, with the leather used in the garment naturally dropping around the shoulders, adding a distinctive slouch to the overall look.

Most commonly seen were 2 x 2 configurations, to which designers added their own twist using layering or other unique elements. The shirts worn under these formal silhouette jackets or blazers incorporated the gender-neutral trend, mixing and matching traditionally feminine materials like sheer or organza fabrics on frilled silk garments, evoking a mannish womenswear vibe from the past.
The Jil Sander collection coupled crochet knitted vests with manly outerwear alongside matching beanies and tote bags made from the same crochet design, blending the feminine materials into masculine outfits, blurring the line between the two.
